Taning means deadline

After three months of working on my thesis...three months of bumming in the lab, fastfood deliveries, and physical inactivity...I'm totally out of shape. I haven't gone to the gym for ages! It's not like I was totally buff when I was working out, nor am I a real fat ass now. I just miss the feeling of tight muscles and the look of a well-cut body. Si jk nga may nahahawakan nang bilbil sa tiyan ko pag naka-slouch ako eh. Haha yun lang.

I watched Feng Shui at Robinson's Metro East with jk this afternoon. It was quite good for a horror movie in Philippine cinema standards. But it had a lot of inconsistencies. And I hated the ending! Shit sarap sipain ng writer pagkatapos ko mapanood!

I'm currently in love with Imago's song entitled Taning. Astig yung song. Ganda ng boses ni Aya de Leon. If anyone could give me the lyrics of this song, I would gladly appreciate it. Or give me a cd nalang! Hehe. Imago is playing tonight at Capones Makati for the Son of a Bar Tour along with Stonefree. I wanted to watch but I couldn't find anyone to go with me. Ako nalang ata yung natitirang tunay na rocker sa barkada namin. Lahat nagconvert na hehehe.

Thesis is fun!

Good morning! I just woke up. I spent the night here at the network testing laboratory in CTC 208, working on my thesis. It's a performance comparison of three wifi standards (802.11a, b & g) using Video Conferencing over a mobile adhoc network (MANET). It sounds pretty complicated, and you can bet it is...but I think I'm gonna be enjoying it. Here are a few good reasons why:

1. An airconditioned laboratory where you can sleep comfortably
2. Computers with internet access, networked locally as well for gaming
3. Being able to run around the corridors of CTC half naked
4. Singing and dancing infront of a webcam in order to test the video conferencing application
5. Hot milo anytime you want, courtesy of the vending machine at the 1st floor
6. Yelling across the CTC parking lot at night in total darkness, to tell your thesis partner whether the signal strength between the laptops each of you are carrying is ok or not
7. The comfort room for disabled here at the 2nd floor...since it's the only one unlocked for the night
8. And of course the company of friends who share in the fun and stress

Happy birthday Martin!

Kudos to my friends who attended my birthday party last Saturday! Although I expected more guests to arrive, it still was one good party. May natira pang isang case ng Red Horse. Boys, pano ba 'to? Bwahahahahaha!

Earlier that day, I played basketball at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig, together with my fellow Ateneo ECE students for the IECEP sportsfest. Our first game was against TIP-QC, and the second was against UE. Talo kame sa parehong games siyempre...tambak pa ng more than 20 points. Before the sportsfest, a lot of schools were intimidated by us, kase raw ATENEO. Gusto namin sabihin sa mga kalaban namin: "Yung mga napapanood niyo sa UAAP...ibang course yung mga yun! HIndi ECE!" Hahaha. Konti lang naman kami ECE sa Ateneo eh. Puro pa kami geeks. Hehe.

Brice, Earl, Joe, Richard, Marjoe, and Alvin surely knew what to give me for my birthday: a Marks and Spencer set of cocoa butter shower gel and lotion. Wag kayo magrereklamo kung mas lalo ako tumagal sa banyo ha! Katz gave me a cute keychain with my initials on it. Laica and Rye gave me an autographed cd of Sandwich's Thanks to the Moon's Gravitational Pull. I already had that cd, but the one they gave me was obviously better. I'm giving the extra album to jk.

I'm now officially twenty-one years old. I still feel like a kid. Although I know I'm already capable of handling the responsibilities of an adult...ayoko pa. Can I just live in Neverland like Peter Pan? Hehe. Sarap maging bata.
